Jamie Vance is a highly qualified Continuity Management Professional experienced in all aspects of designing, implementation, management, support and maintaining Continuity Management Programs. She has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current business resumption and disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analysis. She has the ability to understand a company's key functions, resources, data processing, business requirements, networking and telecommunications in order to coordinate and assist in the preparation and evaluation of Business Resumption and Disaster Recovery programs, policies and procedures.
Jamie began her career in Information Technology in 1996 working as a Computer Operator. From that, she moved onto Production Control Support and Change Control Management. In 1999, she decided to change career paths to help build a Business Continuity Program. Since then, she has developed the essential skill sets for developing and coordinating Emergency Response, Crisis Management and Contingency Planning Programs. She has experience in developing and conducting Awareness and Training classes, Corporate Wide Exercises, developing Crisis Management, Emergency Response and Contingency Plans as well as providing guidance and support for all areas of Contingency Planning. Also, she is very fluent with Strohl Systems LDRPS and BIA software programs.
Over the years she has worked in the following industries: Ecommerce, Banking & Financial, Insurance, Health Care and Utilities. She has worked for two top Twenty Fortune 500 Companies, responsible for developing and supporting the Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery programs.
Most recently she moved her concentration to helping Health Care entities document recovery programs and plans to become compliant with the HIPAA Security Rule - Contingency Practices by providing independent consulting. Her expertise has helped several Heath Care Organizations determine risk, identify the critical business processes and impacts to the company, implement contingency planning strategies and practices to protect the company and provide guidance for documenting contingency plans and providing Awareness and Training.
Currently, Jamie is employed by Cardinal Health in their Enterprise Information Technology - Disaster Recovery organization. In addition, she offers independent consulting services to various Industries for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Program Development and Implementation. She is a Member of the Business Continuity Institute, Contingency Planners of Ohio and is a Certified Business Continuity Professional through DRI.
